The first project was a drill of the emergency rescue procedures for confined space accidents. The emergency fire brigade personnel worked in groups, divided into four groups: on-site group, detection group, rescue group, and vehicle group. First, the production manager explained the drill plan and requirements. Each group followed the confined space operation procedure of “filling out the ‘Confined Space Work Permit’, ventilating first, then detecting, then operating”, fully demonstrating the approval, protection, ventilation, detection, training, and monitoring processes. Secondly, during the operation, a scenario was simulated where an operator in the walking furnace experienced breathing difficulties and fainted. The entire rescue drill was completed according to the procedures of receiving the alarm, activating the plan, emergency rescue, and ending the rescue.
